WAVES AND GLORY FOUNDATION
(NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION – NGO)
To empower the poor to emerge from poverty with dignity.
THE FOUNDATION OVERVIEW
Waves and Glory Foundation is a Ghanaian Non-profit organization based in the city of Kumasi. The organization was founded as a response to the extreme poverty in various slum and poor rural towns where Waves of Glory Church had planted churches. The foundation has used Microfinance as a tool to help alleviate poverty. The insights of microfinance can play a tremendous role in helping to stabilize poor households by removing them from the brink of disaster and enabling them to make the changes that are conducive to both short and long-term progress. Moreover, when combined with evangelism and discipleship, a church-centered microfinance program can be a powerful tool for holistic ministry. In the words of the Church's overseer, Apostle Kwasi, "Christ changes not only hearts and minds, but surroundings as well." This became a theme for the Ghanaian pastors who saw the crushing burden of poverty in Ghana. Our goal is to solicit support from donor agencies to fund projects such as education, feeding program, health care, orphanage homes.
